But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering,
and plenteous in mercy and truth.   Psalm 86:15
Dear Brethren,
Praise the Lord for his longsuffering mercy!
First of all, I want to beg your forgiveness. Over the last six to nine months I
became very discouraged in the way and weary in well doing. I began to shirk
my duties as a missionary. I began to forget to write my prayer letters and get
reluctant, and even lazy about calling for meetings. This past week I attended
a campmeeting in Boomer, N.C. and I am so very glad that I went. During the
meeting a preacher from Geogia named Bro. Quick preached on the flesh. He
made the statement that your flesh hates your determination to live for God.
Later another preacher told about a battle in which three hundred soldiers
stood and fought an army of over twenty thousand men and all died so that
their comrades could live. That was when the Lord reminded me that it was
not about me, but about Him and Him alone.
Well, I'm back in the fight and my focus is back on track. The Lord gave me a
new van (new to me, anyway!) and I am ready to get back on the deputation
trail. Please pray for me, that I will never again lose my focus and yield to the
flesh, when it wants to quit.
Please pray for me as I am seeking meetings.  I understand from Bro. Gary
Hawkins that the churches in Michigan are looking for missionaries willing to
come up there in January and February. Call me crazy, but I'm going to try it!
Please pray for travelling safety and clear weather.
God has been doing awesome things on the home front. We have seen
several people saved and even more get right. The campmeeting was really
good for those from our church who went. It is amazing how God works!
Watching Him work in peoples lives is just awesome.
Lastly, please pray for Mrs. Jessie Chambers. She has been very sick and
very weak. Also pray for her husband, Bro. Jr. that God will give him the
strength he needs to take care of her.
Well, thats about it. Please pray for me and I'll be praying for ya'll.

Enlisted in His service for eternity,
                                                                        Hermano David.

How then shall
they call on him
in whom they
have not
believed? and
how shall they
believe in him of
whom they have
not heard? and
how shall they
hear without a
preacher?
Romans 10:14

Also I heard the
voice of the Lord,
saying, Whom
shall I send, and
who will go for
us? Then said I,
Here am I; send
me.
